Each Westfield destination will name one Local Hero, awarding them a $20,000 grant to support the organisation or group they represent. Two finalists from each location will also receive $5,000 grants. With 42 Westfield destinations participating, the program delivers up to $1.25 million in community grants, empowering initiatives that enrich local areas.

After nominations close, a panel selects three finalists per destination, followed by a community vote to determine the grant recipients. This ensures deserving individuals are celebrated for their significant impact and leadership.

Since launching in 2018, the program has contributed over $8.6 million to 865 community organisations. By recognising these heroes, Westfield provides vital support to these organisations which amplifies their influence, strengthening communities.
