2019 Campus Technology Impact Awards

Have you made your mark on the practice of technology in higher education? The Campus Technology Impact Awards will honour exemplary colleges and universities that are making an extraordinary impact with technology on campus, doing important work in the service of teaching, learning, administration and operations.

2019 International Gender Equality Prize Nomination

The call for proposals for the Finnish Government’s International Gender Equality Prize is now open to the public. The prize, which will be awarded for the second time in autumn 2019, can go to a person or organisation working to promote gender equality in an internationally significant way. The award sum for the next prize has been increased to EUR 300,000.

2020 Martin Ennals Award

The Martin Ennals Award is intended for human rights defenders (HRD) who are defending the rights of others, while at risk. This could include physical danger, repressive legal processes, or other forms of harassment. The Award is named after Martin Ennals (1927-1991), an activist who was instrumental to the modern human rights movement and a driving force behind several organisations. His deep desire was to see more cooperation among NGOs.

Alltech Young Scientist

Welcome to the largest agriscience competition in the world! Since its start, the Alltech Young Scientist competition has welcomed the participation of over 60,000 students from over 70 countries and has awarded $1 million in prizes. The Alltech Young Scientist competition challenges the world’s brightest graduate students to apply their scientific expertise to challenges within the business of agriculture and food. They compete at the regional and global level by submitting scientific papers on topics within the area of agricultural science.

Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate commitment, leadership and contribution to better social outcomes in the business, public and/or social purpose sectors in the past and future.

Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2019

The third annual Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge aims to recognise new business ideas that leverage technology for social impact from student entrepreneurs around the world. The Challenge is open to students and recent alumni from any college or university. $300,000 USD in prize money will help accelerate the adoption of breakthrough technology, products, and services that drive economic development and/or solve social or environmental problems.

Diana Award

Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, The Diana Award is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work. The Award is the longest running award for young people that is given to individuals and groups through a retrospective nomination process only.
